Default Carb syncronization?

Can anyone tell me if you can or should sync the carbs on the Kawasaki Prairie like you can on the multi-cylinder streetbike engines?

Thanks

Chris, the Brute Force has it's carbs in-sync. I'm sure the linkinage will work on the Prairie since the intake and carb placementa are simular in design.

ChrisK7, is yours out of sync? If so how did they get that way?

Yes, you can syncronize them. Look to see how they are opening. Then if they are not opening the same yoiu can use the adjustment screw in the middle of the carbs on the left side.

Yes you can, there are two holes in the intake that are capped. remove them and attach the sync gauge to them and adjust as needed. It can make a BIG difference in the way engine revs. I wish that I had the right gauge to do it with,I've got the kind that goes over the end the carb.

I recommend the vaccum guages as apposed to the mercury type.

I also second what he said.

i tryed the vaccum gauge, like what you would use on a car.

the vaccum gauge is to eratic, i think the mercury type would be better. JMO.

Default Carb syncronization?

The reason I asked about syncing the carbs was that I did my Yamaha FJR 1300 street bike and it made a world of difference even though it is new with less than a 1000 miles.
I've had the Prairie for over a year with around 800 miles on it and had never heard of anyone trying this procedure on the quads so I thought I'd ask.
I will try to get to it this weekend and sync them or at least test them to see how close they are and let you all know how it comes out.

I really don't have any reason to think that they are out, I just thought I'd do a check and make it better if possible.

Thanks for the feedback.

I use my dealer's mercury sync rods, they work well.
