Default P650 Ball joint and front diff seal replacement

KOD, no signs of it leaking at the motor. Just at the front diff. There are 2 seals in the front diff to change. I don't have the part numbers handy. I got them off the Kawie website. One of the guys on this site said they had some updated part numbers for the axle seals. I'll have to do a search and see if I can find that thread.

Masterblaster
I all but solved my problem loosing black fender plastic by running a 4" X 1/2" strip of dexion (any soft pliable metal will work) across the seams in the black plastic. Hammered the dexion flat , cut to fit curves in plastic, drilled three holes in plastic to align with holes in metal. Place seam in middle hole, and used 1" flat washers and button head screws, nut and lockwasher to secure. You can place the metal on back side of plastic to make it look prettier but may need smaller washers.. I ride through a lot of tall brush and haven't lost any black fender plastic or screws since mod.

KOD, here are the part numbers for the front diff oil seals.

Outter seal - 92049-1573
Inner seal - 92049-1572

These are for the front diff where the propellor shaft goes into the diff. After checking out your site I realized that you may be looking for the drive shaft seal which would be part number

92049-1536

That's the O-ring. When I ordered the seals here in Canada they were on back order for 4 weeks, hopefully you have better luck.

Good mod Spliffstar. I've only lost a couple bolts. I check them every now and again to make sure they're tight, but as luck would have it, a few have gone bye-bye. Next time I check them, I'll give them a shot of loctite.

those ball joints are "handed", correct? There is a right and a left, correct? I priced them. 1 is $27, the other side is only $13, wassup with that???????????/ I just had both of mine done under ext. warranty, at 1250 miles.
Also saw your pix of brake pads. Those 1900 mile pads look like new!!!! Best I've gotten out of a set was 750 miles. I spend a lot of time on high speed mountain trails, so I inspect them often. I sheist canned all those ant-rattle shims on the ends, and back of the pads.......they just caught mud, and wore the pads out even quicker!!! Nice pix, good job, KOD!!!!!

Thanks TRX450, I dont know why the cost different. I believe they are the some for both sides. My dealer charged me $14.99. After going through 3 sets of front pads on my old Kodiak Im very happy with the P650 pads. I just wish their seals were that good. Also, I dont ride a lot of mud with my P650 as I did with the Kodiak.
