Ive got the same low speed stutter, occurs between 8-15km,I asked my dealer about it last week, the service manager said that kawi didnt send out TSB on things like that so he had no knowledge of the poor performance,Ill be taking mine in soon for that problem, hopefully theyll consider it a warranty item.

The Kawi P/N is 16187-0156 and costs about $21 retail. I would ask dlr to replace under warranty but your dealer sounds like a bonehead. By the way, the installing richer needle on the front carb almost fixes the problem but not 100% according to some folks. Look for any kind of air leak at the air intake system around the air box/lid/seal, carb boots, etc. that may make the eninge run leaner.
Good Luck.

If I'm going to have to do it myself, or pay for it, I might as well get what I want as far as matching my Dyna FS CDI box right? should I change the main jet too? Im at about 500 ft above sea level

I believe you could take it to any Kawasaki dealer. Your warranty isn't just good at that weasel's dealership is it?
Also, I would raise a ruckus with the regional representative or on up the line. It's not up to you to fix Kawasaki's problems. You paid a hell of a lot of money for that quad.
I love my prairie, but Kawasaki is not on my dependent forms during tax time.
Print this and related threads showing it's not just your quad, and take them in with you.

go back and demand them to call kawi , they are wellllllllllllllllllll aware of it and will send them the needle. i talked to a technical guru from kawi today thats in california and he said they are sending out needles. of course he hasnt heard of water getting in the air box which pissed me off.

well I went in and after some discussion, my dealer agreed to eat the cost of the $12 part to fix it. Kawasaki would not send him a needle jet because he told them when he rode it the fan wasnt coming on. they said it will sputter until its up to operating temp, which means the fan would have to come on. Kawasaki is as low as Yamaha in my books, I'll never buy another one of these ATVs, at least Polaris would admit their faults and fix them. I can't wait to see what happens after I get some time on this machine, it only has 5 hours on it now and the dealer has had it longer than I have.
