it sounds like the problem might be the air mixture screws. My V did the same thing until we turned the screws out and I was good to go. No more problems. Now it starts like it's fuel injected.

It was amplified big time when I put the Dyna CDI in there. I hope my CDI box isnt bad. it would stutter a bit with the stock box, but it was rideable, with the Dyna in there, I couldnt ride it unless I was mashing it the whole time, missed real bad at low RPM. I guess if the needle jet doesnt fix it with the Dyna in it, I will have to mess with some of the other stuff it could be. theres only about 16,000,000 combinations of jets, needles and sizes etc.. to mess with lol.

First off, the tech I talked to at the dealer is a "weak link", it was his statements that got me so riled up in the first place, you know how it is when you talk to an idiot that thinks he's in charge. I went up in person today and talked to the service manager. He is admittedly new to the sevice businness, said he didnt give the right answers to the people at Kawasaki and they blew him out of the water. he told them when it sputtered it wasnt warmed up yet and they said it will do that until armed up, and since they have only had one of them he couldnt call back and give another name and vin # to try it again. At least he was honest with me about that, or he made up a good story lol, but anyway the dealer is going to take care of it for me. They also said they dont care if I put the CDI box in it, just to take it out if I go to any other Kaw dealer or it will void my warranty. It went from a bad experience to a good experience and I'm not hating Kawasaki now just because they did what was right in the end.

I also printed out this topic to show him the part number to order, so he saw it all, and I told him I have a website that gets 21,000 hits per day and that I'd be glad to share this experience.
