Default Paddles/Smoothies on a KFX-700

Getting ready to start the dunes season, and wondering if anybody is putting paddles on the KFX-700. Does it make a significant difference on a stock bike, or are the knobbies sufficient. Going to Glamis and dont want to have to pick and choose hills.

I have Skat Trak edges and they make a huge difference for climbing steep hills. The 700 hooks a bunch better and makes a big difference on take off. My V has only a dalton Blue spring modified the stock snorkle and put a UNI air filter in it. I have ridden a stock V with paddles too nothing at all done to it and the paddles still help he had Sand Stars on. I think the Skats hook up better though. Your stock hole shots will climb some but unless the sand is real course you won't climb the really big hills. I have not bought front tires yet but from riding a couple Vs that have them I think they help too makee the quad turn sharper and push less when your really on the throttle.

Definitely get paddles. And make them at least 22" (skat rack) on the rear. 20" paddles have NO floatation Stock tires get NO traction. Get front sand tires also. Makes a BIG difference in low speed cornering. Trust me on this one. bin' there don' that.

Skat trac & Douglas MADE a wheel/tire combination just for the V force.
You need Skat trac 24x11x10 Extreme haulers on the Douglas "Vforce" wheels.

I believe the place I bought mine from was www.prowlers.net

I see that you are from the Las Vegas area. When and if you get paddles try a place called parts direct they have a set a sand stars on 190 rims for around 170.00. I think there web site is gopartsdirect. As to your question you sholud look into paddle tires the KFX is a heavy bike don't know if you have ridden it much in the dunes or not.

Like it was mentioned already get the tires and wheels specially made for the V. The Skat-Trak Extremes 24x11x10. You can get them at prowlers.net or actionoffroad.com which is in Cedar City and only take one day to get. The Sand Star's on the front do work well but the rears are not even close the Skats.

If you ever want to try mine with the 24's drop me a pm we head out to Amargosa almost every weekend now that its cooling down. If you decide you want 22's I have a set of Extremes on Douglas .190's to fit the V in my garage now I can make you a great deal on. Later

Ken, send me an email at macklin696@yahoo.com so we can meet up. I may be interested in those 22's. I also have a predator and a scrambler so if I dont like them on the 700 I still have another bike for them. Seems like the twenty fours would dig be pretty hard to keep the rpm's up on a stock bike, but if you say they are the ticket, I believe you. Going to Glamis for halloween so I gotta get busy.
