Default Brute Recall A arm bolts question

My recall notice says that the work will take the dealer about an hour. Is all they are doing is putting locktite on the thing or what? That takes 15 minutes unless there is more involved.

THEY CHECK THE SPACING OF THE BRACKETS THAT HOLD THE FRONT UPPER A ARM. SOME HAD IMPROPER SPACING AND NEED SHIMS. MINE WAS CHECKED YESTERDAY AND WAS FINE.

Ditto on my unit. I suspect like with most recalls, it is only a precautionary measure and only a few bikes were affected. They have to check them all though.

I took mine in and loc-tite was applied, took 5 minutes, i changed the nuts to ny-locks later that week. A friend of mine didn't recieve the recall in time and the bolt actually backed out while he was riding, ( fortunately he wasn't travelling too fast ) but the wheel did fold under and flip him and the quad end for end. He is ok for the most part, but dont take this recall too lightly...
