I just purchased a used 99 Prairie 400 which is in pretty good shape (I gave little of nothing for it, it doesn't leak anything and idles like a new one). Of the few problems I am working through the one that has me stumped is an apparent throttle limiter problem. It (limiter) appears to be engaged in neutral as well as forward and hitting the overide button has no effect. I was not thinking throttle limiter at first so I began cleaning the fuel system, rebuilt the carb, etc... but when I got it all back together and it was still cutting out at half throttle it hit me like a sack of bricks. My neophyte question is this...what would cause it and how do I correct it? lol...any help is greatly appreciated.
