Default Snow Tracks on the V Force?

Hey,

I have seen a few of you with Snow Tracks on the V Force and I am considering getting them soon ... just wondering if there is any advise or feedback on these tracks. I am also wondering what is the top speed you can get on these things?

Send a PM to MentalState. He has a set on one of his Vforces and loves them. He'll give you the scoop.

The track kit is not cheap..It will set ya back 2g's and some change..Unless price has dropped since I got mine...
This kit is the most fun you can have with your V..Some of the hardware I recieved with the kit I had to beef up..They say not to jump with it..If you dont jump it they sould be fine...The front skis are nice and wide and track rather well in the snow..If you have to cross a dry rode they tend to dig in a little to much for me..The whole kit mounts very easy .Its just like changing a tire with a few cotter pins thrown in..Inital assembaly takes hour or so..But after that its just like a tire swap..

Your top speed will be lowered some..I think the best I got out of it was 55mph..But this could probably be compinsated by the right clutch set up..
Traction is Great this thing floats over snow like no slead I have ever owned..In fact I sold my slead after I got this kit..You definatley wont break any land speed records but it handles very nice in the woods and hills are no problem..I like to just drive around and look for stuck snowmobilers then pull them out with ease...

MentalState,

Thanks for the first hand input… I am going to order them next month. Look forward to pulling out some stuck snowmobiles…lol. After reading the review in DW last year… I decided to get a set this season. I am just wondering what the Forest Ranger is going to say when he see me in the State Snowmobile Park down the road from my house… lol. I sent my $25 fee and application to the state for a pass and put “V Force 800cc” with the S/N under the snowmobile description and would you guess... they sent me a pass…LOL.

Uh-huh...and how exactly do you not jump something? I mean really, did you not go full throttle in the first ten hours either? Seriously though, after you beefed it up could you jump it, or do you know if any of the other brands can be jumped. I'm not talking huge air, but I'd like to be able to jump a little, 3 or 4 foot banks anyway. How about if you're landing in fresh unpacked snow? I'd like to hear what you think.

Jumpimg is fine now..I just had to reweld some cheap brackets they gave me..It could of just been a bad weld job also..It didnt look like it penetrated well...All is good though..Its a great kit and will last for years..Even my V-force needed to be guseted here and there...
