Brute Force 650

The BF 650 is the same price range is most everyones 500 , this is a great idea , its just a priaire 650 with a new body , definitely looks better than the old prairie, I also expect the prairie 700 to disappear in a year or two. I was at a Suz / Kaw dealer this past Saturday , they had the Suzuki vinsion and BF 650 for the same price, smart thinking on Kawasaki's part.

Thats odd.
I have to say most everyone's engines hold up good these days, but even if I were going back to the 80's, it was the Suzuki engines that were the worst. Honda was best. Yamaha and Kawasaki were about even, and Suzuki was last. That is unless you want to count the polaris quads of the 80's (which most would rather forget).

That's a very good point Andy.
Suzuki, btw, has made arctic cat's engines for as long as I can remember. AC sleds have a tendency to have a breakdown every so often to this day.
Suziki and arctic cat both get the v twin from kawi and the engine works great in both applications.
At this point I really dont see any company building engines with poor enough quality that they should be singled out as a whole. I really cant think of any quads besides the yfz that really break down in stock form. Comparing engines should be done on an engine by engine basis, not a generalized statement about one company's engines vs another.

My dealer told me yesterday that kawa is dropping the 700 prairie next year and that is why they made the 650 BF with SRA. To me, that is stupide cause the prairie 700 has been their bread and butter.

It is a prarie, just new name and new updated plastic, and next year you will likely see a BF750 with the SRA (prarie chassis). I think the total picture in the next 1 to 2 years there will be both SRA (prarie chassis) and IRS chassis BF650's and BF750's. The prarie is not leaving just changing names for better market apeal. And most current prarie owners myself included welcome improved plastic. I would think that most would agree the prarrie name just didn't suit the power house of a quad that they are.
