clunking noise in my BF 750
when driving my BF 750 slow in hi, lo or 4wd I have a clunking noise that seems to come from the transmission. when I jacked up the BF it seems like there is excessive backlash between the rear axle and the driven clutch or trans. and the same noise can be heard. I took it back to the dealer to have it looked at but they say there is nothing wrong and that the noise is normal. I was wondering if any one else has the same noise. It is really kind of annoying. let me know other than that the bike is great!!

I ride with someone that has a BF and heat shield keeps coming lose. Don't know if that is the same noise but it is a real problem with him.
They DEALER and Bob have tried everything short of removing it. Lock-tit, changing bolt material you name it. 50-100 miles and it works loose

I also have the problem with the heat shield bolts coming loose. But this is a differant noise. It actually sounds like a click when I let off the brake at slow speeds. like the dealer says it is normal, but I was just curious if others here it as well. To me it just does not sound right.
