Default Low end miss worse with the Dyna

My BF has the low end miss about 80% of the time, I put the Dyna in it the other day and the miss at that certain throttle was terrible, actually un-ridable, above that certain spot where the needle takes over from the pilot's it was fine....... I do have the air screws set out to 3 turns and at that setting the quad idle's perfect and very smooth, so it is safe to say the Dyna does indeed lean the jetting out somewhat due to more spark I guess........I finally got my NFKL needle yesterday and have my 155 and 160 mains to go up from the stock 152/158 mains... I will post back when i get everything done this week, and put the Dyna back in to test the new jetting .......

Default Low end miss worse with the Dyna

I was just going to post the same thing!
I am new to the Kawi forum and this is my 1st post here. I had an 04 Arctic Cat 650 with 200 miles on it and traded it for a BF!

I guess the saying is true "If you cant beatem, joinem" lol

My brother has a BF and i made all kinds of mods to the AC and couldnt get close to him for performance so i decided to get a BF also.I had the Dyna in the AC and it worked alright i guess but i put it in the BF today and the stutter and missing was terrible unless at low rpm's or full throttle.
The BF is awesome with the Dyna in it!! The thing accelerates like crazy from a dead stop and is hard to keep the front end on the ground! The dealer here has the needles on order and hope to have them soon so i can put the Dyna back in.

Anyway the BF seems to be a great machine for just the few miles i put on it today but am glad to finally have Kawi!!

Glad you had fun Bill. We may need to increase the mains one size for the cold weather. I just noticed mine misses worse now.

When the jetting is too lean to begin with from the factory, and you plug in the dyna, it will get worse. Just rejet, not a big deal.
