Default bf display stays on

i did a search for this and found nothing so i hope someone has heard of this. my display stays on even after the key is turned off, and sometimes i have noticed it just comes on all by itself. but as soon as you flip any switch (headlights, start button, even tap the brakes.) the display goes off. but it will come on again after a few minutes or so. i haven't messed with it yet, really don't know where to start but any help would be great. thanks.

sounds like a short circuit, warranty would take care of that I would guess. obviously it's not supposed to do that. did you swamp it in water by any chance?

My display did the same thing but I had a spotlight in my cigarette lighter. I took it out and it went off. You might want to take it back to the dealer before the warrenty goes out.
