I rode many 125's and Think the 400 has more power than the 125. It has great suspension specially for trails, and it could handle mx too. This quad handles great and doesn't lack power.

I agree with him, I own a kfx400 and it has never treated me wrong, it's a great quad for all types of riding, and it should suit you well, I'm 6'6, 190 and it works great. Good luck on your decision, you won't be disappointed.

kid:

I agree with YFZ660R & Machster22.......great machine with great "usable" power. I'm 5'7 @ 180lbs, and it slung my butt anywhere I pointed it.....quick and easy.

Ditto the above. I had a KFX400, great bike. Plenty fast and likes to rev, since you are use to riding on the pipe. You will like it.

I had a buddy that had a KFX400. I rode it more than he did and I absolutely loved it. I had a 40oex and he woul rather ride mine. I had a different sprocket set on mine so it pulled a lot harder from below but his kfx would grab traction anytime you slipped the clutch. the power was throughout the revs. I took the quad up hils that I had only seen 4x4's go up. Just rev the motor and pop the clutch. If you get out of the revs, just slip the clutch a little and hang on. the power comes right pack.

He had a full yoshi system and that was it. I would recommend getting both the intake and exhaust cams as it will help hold the power a little. Get better rims and get way better shocks. You can find the limits to the shocks real quick. I am 6'8" and I way 300lbs and the bike could haul my fat a$$ around anywhere. It will definitely be able to impress you.
