Default Drowned p650- no power

I drowned my 650 over the weekend in a creek. I have drained the oil several times and replaced the filter. I have also drained the carburators several times, changed spark plugs, checked the spark on the plugs thinking that one of the coils went bad. The 650 will start when it is choked, but it has totally lost its power. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I think it's running on one cylinder. Or have you taken the belt cover off? Water in the gas?

Default Drowned p650- no power

did the same on thursday to my p650,i found that i had tons of water in the belt housing which put a lot of lag on the clutch.i also had lots of water in the muffler. it took awhile for it to smoothen out and run right.even after it was running ok,i did a couple hot laps around the neibghborhood and had, what i believe, was a blocked crank case vent to air cleaner.i ran the engine up to rev limiter for a while and a big milky blob puked up into the air cleaner, ran great ever since, hope this helps you out.worst case senario,do a compresion test...

I drained the belt cover when I was changing the oil. I just drained the gas and the carburator last night, I will try this to day. How can you tell if the crankcase vent is clogged? When the four wheeler is running can you feel air cumming up threw the vent. I have added an aftermarket oil/water seperator to this line and I have drained that, I guess that could be clogged preventing the vent to work. I will keep working on it. If any of this works I'll let you know. Thanks!!

check your compression.
you could have bent a rod if water got into the cylinder when running

I took it to the dealer and they found more water in the carburator, But I don't know weather that was the problem or not. Hopefully I will find out tomorrow if that fixes it. I will keep you posted.

I would venture to guess that you may have warped and or broken a valve, youll loose a ton of power if there is a compression loss from a valve problem
