Default 4wd & shift linkage

Does the linkage have any impact on the 4wd/2wd ?? My linkage is out of adjustment, so farr that the N light doesn't light up anymore, but would that have anything to do with it not going into 4wd now??

Hi Darren,

Is the linkage the same as the 650? You can look at my factory 650 service manual if it will help you. Let me know.

I have a 360 manual, thanks though.. I just thought it might have something to do why I'm having problems with my 4wd again (surprise surprise)

Is the 360 basically the same setup in terms of the 4wd controller/motor assembly as the 650? I think I have the 650 fairly well figured out (after the nightmare I had with my machine), but I don't remember there being anything associated with the transmission linkage in any of the diagnostic tests. I finally decided my controller is goofed up (the KEBC part)(the 4wd part still works fine). If the 360 and 650 aren't the same, I guess I'm probably wasting your time. Let me know if I can help though...I appreciated your help with my 650.

I'm affraid my controller might be messed up as well.. Did you replace yours?? if so did it correct your problem?? The problem I have been having since about August is it wont go into 4wd right off it takes some riding then it will all the sudden go into 4wd & then work fine after that.. but once I let it since for a week or 2 it reverts back & wont work.. Now the damn thing wont work at all, I hate this 4wd system Kawi makes, I might never buy a kawi again because of it..

If you bought one how much was it & where did you get it??

I did not replace my controller since my problem was only with the EBC. (plus I'm cheap!) The part # for both yours and mine is 21175-1098 per www.buykawasaki.com. Ronayers.com has it for $270.09.

Does your EBC work? I'm about tempted to try a swap with yours to see if that fixes my EBC problem and your 4 wheel drive might start working with my controller??? Might be worth a try. My only concern is that buykawasaki lists a different part # for mine, but when I try to put that part # into ronayers system, it says it has been superceded to your part #...the 21175-1098.

I'll pm you with my cell # if you want to try it.
