Kawasaki does have a 450 dirt bike. It has been raced in foreign countries for a couple of months now, and the last time I check it was here in the U.S. as well. All of the magazines have said that Kawasaki will not use the Suzuki quad as theirs. They will be in their own design phase on a four-wheeler because they feel they can make a better quad.
To compare yamaha to kawasaki is fine but look at what kawasaki has made in years past, the tecate's, mojave's, lakotas, KFX400 and the KFX700. There never really was a competition sport quad from Kawasaki. The tecates were fast and could run with the 250R's but they had too many problems. In my opinion, when Kawasaki builds a 450 there will not be one quad out there that can touch it. They build everything to kick a$$ and take names later. Examples: (Ultra 150 Jet Ski, V-force, Prairie and other)
The 450 they do make will be in my opinion, throttle body injection, not really efi. That is what polaris is using right now. The money that would have to be poured into an actual EFi system is unreal and the average joecould buyt a new truck for the price of a four-wheeler with real EFI.
