Default Best CDI for a brute?

Dyna cdi is by far the best thing for your Brute, as for Dyna jet, no. The largest jet in the DJ series is still smaller in volume size than the DJ system. Go with OEM jets they are the best way to go. Soon as you open up your exhaust it will lean out so larger jets are a must DJ will not fill the bill.

You won't lose nothing, If your Brute runs well, without the low speed stumble at stock, then the Dyna will boost power to an extreme
at take-off, then rev a little bit better on the top end pull. I would not change the exhaust either, it flows pretty well at stock and is loud enough. If you have experienced the stumble at low speed, then the Dyna will magnify it. The stage one Dynojet kit will cure the factory stumble if installed right. Trust me you would be happy with the Dyna. Also if you ever have to take it in for service, you can unplug the Dyna and put your stock cdi back in.

BruteForceMeane,

That stumble stays there huh? I am just getting to the end of the break in on my BF750 and was figuring the stumble would go away when she had a few more hours on her. It has been getting less and less noticeable through the first few runs. Seems now to only appear if I am running steady somewhere around 1/8-1/4 throttle. I was hoping to finally own something I didn't feel the need to tweak on...guess not.

If I read you right the fix for the stumble is the dynojet kit? I installed one on my Harley CV carb, Thunderjet on same too...heck of a difference there! Guess this one should be rather the same as that one, except for there's two of them! I never swapped out the CDI on the Harley though. Just haven't felt the need for it just yet. Is the CDI swap a necessity on the Brute?

God bless,

-BunnMan

Bunnman,
There is no reason that you have to change out the cdi you can leave it stock if you wish not a problem. Dyno Jets are not worth the time it takes to change them out. I have a set if you wish to buy only used once for less than a 1/2 hour.
