If you find your quad don't call the cops at all. Just kick the dudes a$$ and take names later. The cops are useless when it comes to that kinda stuff. I am glad I have five cops that live a rocks throw from my house. We have non-stop patrols through our neighborhood and noone has ever lost a quad or anything big like that.

IT OUGHT TO BE A LAW THAT IF YOU CATCH THE GUY THAT STOLE YOUR STUFF THAT YOU CAN JUST CUT THEIR ARMS OFF RIGHT THERE WITH NO OBJECTIONS FROM ANYONE. THAT WILL STOP THE THIEVES.

Careful with all your 'loaded guns', the way the system is- you'll end up in the can and A$$hole will go free..

That's a good point. Crack a couple of bottles or cases among your buddies.....make 'em feel bad that you lost your only quad, won't be able to get another one, and so on. Get 'em drunk enough and sorry enough and you just might hear something.

I've got some people looking into it. Kid that got his grizz stolen has a couple of "buddies" that he thinks took his. I'm only a few houses down from him (we live in the country, farmers and all) so we expect it was the same punks.
How do you prove it without breaking too many laws. I am a family man so don't want to end up in jail by say beating the crap out of a couple punks.

Maybe I should just let it go. The only problem is I'm worried about buying another one. I'm gonna lose big on this one and it is only a few months old; so if i go buy say a BF or something how do I secure it so it is not stolen too. Maybe I have to spend a couple thousand on an alarm for the garage??

the cheapest and surest way would be to chain and lock it to something immovable.
