Default P650 Exhaust

I'm looking for either a slip-on or a full system for my 650. I did a search through previous topics without much luck. I don't want something that is going to **** off the neighbours, but a nice rumble and a little more snap would be great! Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks All

Do a search and check out the NYROC mod. It sounds great but not overly loud, it's cheap and gives as close to, if not as much power as a slip on with a airbox mod and jetting.

I like it as do others, the ony thing is you won't save any weight. HTH

My nyroc mod was relatively quiet when I first did it about 9 months ago...but lately I've noticed it has gotten much louder. I drilled only four 1/2 holes for the sole purpose of trying to keep the noise level down. In retrospect, I kinda wish I has used six 3/8" holes...perhaps that would have made it quieter. One things for sure, you can't beat the price on the nyroc mod!

A buddy of mine has the Nyroc mod done and it sounds like a Harley with straight pipes on it. Perhaps he has done something wrong? It's really loud! That is one of the reasons that I am leaning towards a full system or a slip-on. One guy suggested looking at FMF. Any thoughts?

EDITED:
MBRP sells an exhaust system for the P650 that never requires repacking...its designed like a car/truck muffler with sound chambers that supposedly cancel out some of the noise.... I'm told that the FMF pipe for the P650 also never needs repacking... those 2 would be my first choices if I had the $$$.

Happy trails...

I have the supertrapp and its great. I did the nyroc mod but did not care for it. Noticed a difference with the supertrapp and not the nyroc mod. Hope this helps

Mudmagnet and Mikey,

Thanks for the input. MBRP is in my home town however I read about some guys complaining about their product. Has anyone heard good or bad about the HMF pipes? Do you find the Supertrapp loud or not too bad? Also how do you like the Elka's up front? I think that I need a set of those! What clutch kit did you go with? Dalton?

Just a little aside. If anyone is planning a trip to Ontario to go riding you should check out, The Sportsmans Lodge. We went there last week-end, it was fantastic riding!!!!! The lodge was fantastic and the owners were great! All meals are included and they were great! The best week-end I've ever had riding. www.sportsmanslodge.net

Thanks again,

Stephen.

Elkas are great but don't help too much with the big outlaws. when running smaller tires they are great- worth every penny. the exhaust is not loud but sounds great- quieter than the nyroc modded muffler. I have an EPI clutch kit and I am very happy with it. I have it set up for big tires and it does exactly what it says it will do.
