Any drag racing tips for a BF750?

The guy down the street already saw me riding my new brute 750 and ran over to see it. He had about 6 other people at his house. I just did my first service not a week ago and left the skid plate on and drained the oil so it has leaked some on the plate. He saw some oil and I told him what I done but he yelled this to his buddies- this thing is brand new and is already leaking oil! then they all laughed. anyway this guy has a 700 polaris FI and told me the brute doesn't have true indepindant rear and true 4wd. What does he mean by that? Anyway, he wants to ride over at the power lines tonight with his buddies to see how it runs. One guy has a red bf750, and one has a prairie 650, and one is a suzuki but i dont know which one. The red bf750 is supposed to be the fastest and he said he cut something in the pipe out and had a jet kit put in by the shop. The 650 and 700fi i dont know what they have. There is enough room to get up to top speed I think. Any tips from you veterans out their? All I have is some atr tires and of course the DG5. I tucked the DG5 under the frame and wrapped tape over the wires where it hooks up so it looks all stock. I dont think he has a DG5 so I hope it can make up for his mods. What so you think?

Please, he has AWD which doesnt actuate the fronts wheels until the rears start to spin, he also doesnt have very good engine braking (only 2 wheels instead of all 4 like us BF owners), plus it has linked brakes....personally those 3 reasons are what kept me from buying a polaris.
Im betting on you for the win unless you get a bad line...

Oh yea, drag racing tips, Id say stay forward with feet on the floorboards and most if not all of your weight on your feet keeping your center of gravity as low as possible. The more weight you have over the front wheels while maintaining traction the better. Keep yourself from giving it full gas in the beginning to avoid loopng it....Most importantly, practice different launches on different terrains.

I know this may be obvious, but make sure your in 4wd. Some people think they can pull better times in 2wd, but that's wrong.
Polaris's "True 4wd" is anything but. It doesn't work until the rear wheels lose traction. The Sp700EFI will be beaten by your BF. As Ducati748 said, keep your weight over the front end.

Keep it in 4WD. I like to hold my difflock in untill I am going good this helps on dirt. Torque up the tranny (hold the front brake and give it a little throttle) when you let go of the brake pin the throttle and it will launch! Good Luck and HOLD ON!

HAH, Brute Force not have a true 4wd? Tell him hes the one with the bo()t Leg Awd. The Bf has the locking differential which makes all the power go to all wheels and the Awd only works when the back wheels slip like 25% or something close to that. You definatley have an advantage with speed because the Bf is light and the sp is really heavy. I think the BF wins in all categorys.
