Okay all you kawi BF owners you'll love this, again you are going to hear me talk about my buddy's BF. WE just got back from a 5 hr. ride the weather being 39 deg. sunny and breezy. Well our local lake this time of year is low and we look forward every weekend to doing some serious muddin. I tried to go through a mud hole in 2 wd. on my Griz and got stuck, I put it in 4 wd and wollerd back and forth till the mud was 8 '' deep on the floor boards, one thing I dont like on the griz is this - in reverse you can only use so much power then she starts cutting out , I went to the dealer long ago on this prob. and he said the over ride is only used when in diff. lock at speeds over 28 mph. in forward not in reverse. dirtwheels mag. FEB. 04 PAGE 41 said it was equipped with a new over ride so you could back out of bad situations. I had the dealer take one off the showroom floor and I tried it outside it did the same, therefore I believe him. Bums me out thats one reason I bought it. Anyway back to the story, so the BF winched me with a big grin on his face .Later on that day on the way back we stopped at the same hole I gave him the chicken sign and off he went into the hole and got stuck in the same spot , back and forth he goes I thought for sure he was not coming out of there, then I found my self { being partial to KAWIS anyway, I do miss my 650 } along with the other kawi 650 owner that was there yellin GO KAWI GO to my surprise he come flyin out of there with another big grin. He was able to back up farther than I was due to the cutting out on my griz. The torque on the BF is amazing. He does not have the stock DUNFLATS on the BF , he has GOODYEAR RAWHIDES off of his POL 700 that he traded in on his BF. Okay I hear there is a kit to solve this reverse deal . Can anyone tell me where to get one and when installed will it effect anything else ? Oh and I can atest to the fact that you can put a BF in water over the racks , he was giong through the water and hit a drop off , the front of the machine was totally under water I know how this sounds but he just drove right out of it !!! Thanks sorry so long but I thought you BFers would like this story, Got any of your own ? I see a BF in my future. OGGYDOGGY
