Bunnman,
Good idea...you should definitely go watch a few XC races...lots of fun to race and watch. You should probably go check the schedule of the 2005 GNCC races at www.gnccracing.com This is the national XC series (for both quads and dirtbikes) and they have lots of races up and down the east coast areas from Florida to NY. These GNCC races a lot of fun to watch as well as race in. I just took a peek at the GNCC 2005 schedule and it looks like they have a race in McHenry, MD in June called The Whisp. Go check that one out for sure.

Not sure how to tell you to find a local XC race series near your home. I'm guessing that there might be a local XC/harescramble series for quads in either your state or in a state near you, but I'm not really sure. I recommend that you ask some of your riding buddies or maybe go ask your local atv dealership...they should know.

Good luck and happy trails...

I checked your link and there doesn't seem to be any quad action in GNCC in my area. I'll have to stop into some local dealers/shops and see what they know about hare scrambles or other utility ATV races around here. That's really cool that there's a circuit to race utilities on. I'll race anything with a motor just to get the rush of running it...it's really great that there's an organized group out there racing vehicles that seem a little out of the ordinary to be running. With all the trick sport quads out there who would ever think of racing utilities 'cept us die hard "run what you brung" types

Thanks for the lead,
God bless,

Bunnman,
How far are you from McHenry, MD? There is a GNCC race scheduled there this coming June 25, 2005 (its called The Wisp). The quads race on Saturday, June 25th and the dirtbikes race on Sunday, June 26th. Go check it out at www.gnccracing.com Good luck to you!

That's a ways out there...about 3 hours at least, maybe 4 when pulling a trailer full of ATV's. Plenty of time to plan for it though. I might give it a look. Other problem is that's in the middle of my racing season. I was hoping to find an event to check out on a weekend when I wasn't running. 'Perciate the help though.

God bless,

-BunnMan

Alltoys,
Good question. Lets see now, they finished in the following order:

Finished in the race:
1-Rincon 650 (his first XC race ever)
2-BF750
3-P650
4-Pol. 700 (flat tire)
5-P650 (mine)

Holeshot:
1-P650 (mine)
2-P650
3-BF750
4-Pol. 700
5-Rincon 650

Alltoys,
Wow...that sounds awesome! Personally, I would be very intersted in getting a Rincon for XC racing if the motor was on par with Kawasaki's V-twin. I can't even imagine what a 1300cc quad would feel like on the XC course! Everyone says the Rincon handles very good for an IRS machine and I have no reason to doubt it based on last Sunday's race. Good luck with the Rincon project and please keep us posted.

Happy trails...
