Bought new Prairie 700, have a couple questions

Warranty only last 6 months unless its extened and for that you need a actual dealer of the brand you ride. I was refering to regular service wich warranty does not cover.

Thanks again everyone for your help. This is a great place to gather information, maybe someday I can return the favor. And CC that tip on STP son of a gun did the trick, it looks like new again.(almost) Thanks!

CC1999,
I just bought the Prairie a week ago so I haven't rode to much. The last place I went was Aplacha Bay on Lake Keystone near Mannford, OK. There are some pretty good trails with some steep hills or you can run up and down on the beach for probably a mile or so and a lot farther than that when the water is down. There is also a place just below Keystone Damn that is really a good place to ride but its closed until March so you won't disturb the Eagles right now. There are a lot of trails, alot of sand and when the river is down you can ride all the to Sand Spring,OK which would be about 5 miles. So I have a few places to ride but I just haven't had the chance to go much yet.

Hey Reno, Whats up with the Dalton Clutch kit, is that something you have added to your Prairie 700? To be honest with you thats the only thing I worry about on this machine is the belt. I hope I don't wish I had bought the Honda Rubicon. But I like the power that the P700 has and I will learn to adjust the belt myself. I know there are sure a bunch of helpfull folks on here if I have any problem too.

Dandy.....if you start out tight....ride in low at slow speeds you might go 1000k miles between adjustments. The last long term test I saw on a 700 had 1000k miles and they reported no problems.

Dandi, the clutch kit I did was for more agressive take off.If you want better belt life just change the driven clutch spring(rear)to the EPI black spring or Dalton equivalent.Check out Nyrocs site tech tips, all your questions will be answered. He also has a forum.
