Default Spark Plug question

In AtvAction mag they did a test on the Lakota and and say to run NGK DR7EA spark plug. In my lakota which is far from stock i'm running a NGK DR8EA. What is the difference and between them and is it ok for the quad.

Default Spark Plug question

http://www.ngk.com/sparkplug411.asp, at the bottom, it explains the numbering system. The lower number, is a hotter plug.
Spark plugs dont create heat, they just pass it on to the head. A hotter plug transferrs less heat than a cold plug. Hotter plugs are used to burn deposits , that a normal plug cant...due to jetting or oil burning.
If youve been using the 8, and it doesnt foul, then keep using it.
