I just went on the K&n web site and saw that they were blowing out all of the jet kits and i need one. I looked and they had a bayou jet kit and a mojave jet kit but not one for my lakota. Will the mojave or bayou jet kit work on my lakota, because K&N is selling them for $19 and rockymountain is selling them for $44

 

Hey holeshotz8436, i just looked up the part number in my rockymountain and denniskirk to see how similar the part numbers are. Well a jet kit for the mojave part #is 81-8201 and jet kit part # for lakota is 81-8202 and for the bayou 300 2x4 part # is 81-8203 and bayou 300 4x4 part # is 81-8205. I would think that if you are going to get one of these other than the lakota go with the mojave it the closest and most similar parts number. But if anything call you dealer and see what he says.

 

vunit- i just ordered the Bayoy jet kit because i checked on kawasaki.com and the bayou and the lakota have the same exact carburatior so i thought it would work. Even if it dosent, for $19 it is worth it to try it. Also do you know if the jet kit comes with jets, needles, spring, and shims like the power kit or just the main jets?

 

That a good idea holeshotz8436, yeah the lakota uses the same motor as the bayou so it should work with no problems. I think that the jet kit you order just comes with the main jet only not all that other stuff like the power kit but the main jet is the only thing that you need so it will be fine. Anyways you saved a lot of $ with buying the jet kit for $19 instead of rockymountain $44 one.
