BF suspension
#1
Has any improvements been made to make the bf handle better at higher speeds?I have an 03 prairie 650 and ride a lot of roots and rocks and choppy trails that can give you a headache. I wonder if more suspension travel would help, and why hasnt that been tried. Will it make them sit up too high? I might trade my prairie in for the bf if it could handle good at speed, I just think the suspension isnt very good on my prairie considering the power it has, much room for improvement is needed.

Like Jimmy said, the Feb issue of DW has an article titled 'Project Brute Force 750'. They put Works Performance shocks on all 4 corners of the machine. They also put on ITP Holeshot ATR tires mounted on ITP Type 5C aluminum wheels.
They quote this combination as "with two minutes of riding it was abundantly clear that this is a vastly improved combination". The continue with "we bolted down a long straight and were amazed (and delighted) that the Brute Force 750 tracked straighter adn felt much more 'in control'". Also, "That nervous, wandering front-end feeling was 90 percent abolished".
Looks like you have some options...

Let us know if you swap shocks how it works....some of the members said that just changing tires was a big improvement, but the BF my friend had needed more than that to feel comfortable...

Will do. Did you friend do more than change the tires and wheels?
Please let me know if theres any more he's done that I can learn from.
PS. I'm looking for a setup that maximises med-fast woods riding and I'm about 180lbs.
Thanks
Jim
