Default Internal Guts of a Module

If you look at my pics you will see a module at least the parts and the board to which they are attached. This one is set for 1100 hz where as some others are running over 3000 hz all that is needed is to change certain parts to produce the higher frequency. If you have a savy electronices wizard or your local munchkin out of highschool electronics can build it for you. There is less than $10 in parts to make a frequency generator and most companys are making a generous profit. They are generaly the same just different packaging have fun with it see what you can do.

How are ya Gary ? Releasing closely guarded secrets to the masses must mean you have some better , faster tricks up your sleeve eh buddy ? Have you heard about the ice races on Sylvan Lake in late February ? Will let you know once i get confirmation . Maybe we can get together there.

Yes, sounds good just let me know. Looks like I will be back around Edmonton in the early spring a little closer to Loyd, lol.

Yes I have something better than a module these things are old news I had a buddy make me one up so I could show it on the forums. It is a pretty inexpensive trinket gizmo that has produced a lot of controversy, lol.

What causes you to move north Gary, new job ? At least if you are that much closer you will be able to come up here and take in a few events with us. Will keep you posted on ride dates as the season unfolds. We are getting a fairly good dump of snow right now, can't wait till morning to do snow removal in my neighborhood. The older folks sure appreciate it anyway.

I see a NE555 timer chip, a transistor, diode, a few caps and resistors. What are you using this circuit for?

BryceGTX,
This a frequency generator a gizmo that will advance the timing on your cdi. I am not sure if you know the ins and outs of the module stuff. Please do a search on modules there is a lot of information on this subject so have at it. Once you have a general concept then let me get into it little further. I know this is not much help but you can learn from the multitude of information on this subject. You can build this identical unit and it will work every as much as well as other units for a fraction of the price like 1/10!!!!!

Mastrblastr,
Please do give me a call!!

LOL alltoys. I never thought of disabling the ignition retard timing with a simple circuit like this.
Thanks for the information alltoys.
Have a great day.

Did you etch that board yourself or order one from a website? Thats where the cost and effort will be for the little guy.

400PrairieXLT,
I am not sure how it was done except he had a full sheet made how big that is I am not sure. From there they were cut to individual pieces. The size is 1 7/16 X 1 1/4 inchs I think rough price was $2 per piece CDN.
