Default Plowing Dudes!!!

I have a cycle country "V" plow and I keep bending the arm which controls the angle of each blade. I believe it is happening when I catch a corner of the sidewalk or driveway.

Has anyone had the same problem?

Should I decrease the tension of the springs?

Is a state plow or straight blade more rigid and can take the abuse from catching corners?

Let me know what you guys think and have expierensed. In the mean time Im going to look into welding some suports on the arm or making an arm out of a piece of angle vs. the stock straight.

Default Plowing Dudes!!!

I have a 60" straight blade plow on my polaris xplorer and CT just got 12-24 inches of snow and i had no problems what so ever. I have banged up my plow pretty good and it still works great. I would try decreasing the tension of the spring and see what happends but i have never had a problem yet. I like the state plows alot but would only get one if you are doing a lot of plowing, the straight might be the better choice to go with.
