i just got the dig cam thing going, but i'm going to hatfield-mccoy the end of may till then i'll be working alot. maybe i'll get some for a late snow ride before it melts. the mudlites go pretty decent in the mud and snow and are very good on the trail. the gators i think go just a touch better in the mud and snow and are decent on the trail, but i noticed on a wet hardpack they are kinda skiddish not alot of contact patch ya know? overall they are great tires. next time i would like to get a set of radials for the rubicon just to try them out. but i like the bigger tires on the brute they just look bada$$. i'd probably reccomend the mudlites. i'd go 26" or bigger the 25" just dont look like the tread is deep enough.

 

I thought that they make Mudlites in 25" with the deep lugs now. I'll still go bigger tho...at least 26". I need more GC in the Mud and ruts. Tires are next on the list but I'm broke right now![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img] Guess I'll have them by summer.

Now I realize bigger tires and lift = lots of broken stuff and increased wear and tear. Right now I am just thinking 27" tires w/out a lift and really don't want to go any bigger. My question is, at what point do I have to start being concearned with increased CV wear and whatnot? I don't plan on getting a lift (yet) just the 27" tires.

 

i liked the gators over the mud lites.
the gators are a flat smooth tire where as the lites are a rounded tire.
the lites are useless in deep snow.
the gators are a excelent tire in the snow.
they both are a good tire but the gator will outlast the mud lites 2 to 1.
but these new mudzillas just put both mud lites and gators to shame on any terrane.
i was out yesterday in over a foot of snow and there was 5 of us the only 2 quads that dident have much trouble was my buddys 650 cat and my 700p.
everyone had to get off and walk beside there quads because as soon as you got on you would sink and get stuck.
even my bud with the cat had to get off some times.
my prarie just road ontop as long as i dident spin i had no troubles and if i did spin i just put it in reverce and backed up and tryed again.
i dident have to get of and walk beside mine at all.
my buddys wife was looking like she was about to have a hart attack so i let her take mine and i pushed hers untill we were clear.
the two rubicons with 27" and 26" mud lites had to be pushed all the way and so did my buddys 600 grizz with 27" mud lites.
i find the mud lites dig down they wont ride ontop of the snow.
my buddy with the 650 cat has 28" dirt devils and he did good.
and mine with the zillas were (in my buds wifes words) wicked.
and i agree.
ive had all three tires and the zillas will out do them without a sweat
but the next set i get are going to be 26" zillas.
im scared these 28s are going to brake somthing.
the only thing that is good about the 28" tires is the prarie has so much power it just spins them like crazy.
stick with the shorter tire and youll save yourself some money and ware and tare on your quad.
my quad came with the 28s but if i was buying them i would have gone with the 26s.
if your buying tires go for the mudzillas you be glad you did.
the mud lites have 1 1/4" tread depth the gators are the same and the zillas are 1 1/2" depth.
plus the tread is 2" wide.
the lites and gators are half that.
