Thank You!
It's almost as if the ATR's were designed just for me. I absolutely love them. They are really nice for mountain work. The elimination of torque or bump steering is nice too. I will admit if I try to run them at the 6 or 7 psi as recommended by HoleShot they are a bit too harsh on long rough trails. I run them at 4.0 psi rear and 4.5 front and like it just fine.
The truck only has 4k on it right now. Man they really improved the brakes for 05. See Here. I have always had Z71's without any major problems.

my brother was looking into getting the atr's, he has 26" gators right now on his prairie.
the only problem i had was the intermediate steering shaft. the dealer just replaced it with a supposedly redesigned one.oh and i had a mouse or something chew the crap out of my wire harness while i had it in the garage. one wire harness and one insurance company later and all is good.

Yeah,
GM has been stubborn on a few issues like the steering shaft (finally fixed for 05) and engine noise. My L33 5.3 is really nice and even with the silence of electric fans it runs really quiet. I just put a Corsa touring series catback exhaust on and it is really, really nice. Not loud at all in the cab and roars outside when stomped. Incase you are interested, a pcm tune is by far the best performance mod for the dollar. Allen Nelson is really great. I do not drive far to work so I got the 93 octane tune. It gets better mileage too, if I don't play. You would not believe what the Big Three do to detune the motors for the sake of reliability. It's like a big brother is taking care of you thing. When the tuners put all of the timing and abuse modes where they belong, as well as shift points and more, it's up to you to make her last. Burn outs at every light is not the way.
For instance. My 1992 Z71 ECSB with a 185 HP 5.7, when stomped would toast the tires from a dead stop with a locking rearend. That is with LT 265 tires. Now, a 2005 Z71 ECSB with a 310 HP 5.3 will hardly break them loose. Big brother stuff.

grizzkiller,
Nice quads. I'm with mudblaster...now you need some action shots! What do you like better for mud the Gators or Mudlites? I'm looking for some tires that kick in the mud but are still good on the trails and decent on hardpack.
