What to do on P700 CVT
#1
On my P650, all I did was just put in the black secondary and pink primary springs.
Is there something more effective I should do to make the P700 really jump off the line? The P650 never did wheelie, but I could sure tell a difference after putting in the pink spring.
Will new springs, weights, drilling holes, other stuff I have read on here, void the 4 year warranty? Maybe this is one of those deals where I can't have it both ways (warranty and clutch mods both).
I would like a fast off-the-line bike without going to a machine shop if I don't have to.
It's only got 2 miles on it right now.

clutch Springs/weights won't void the warranty. Wanting more snap, highly recommend the Dalton/Orange Blue Primary. Throw in a CDI & you'll be dragging the bumper in HI on full throttle take off (Full throttle takeoff in LO--Sombody will be lifting your quad off of you).

i wouldnt reccomend drilling holes that would more than likely void the warranty. its really up to the dealer if certain things will void the warranty. when i had the black spring put in my p650 thats the first thing the dealer told me is that it would void the warranty.

Did you keep your dyna CDI as that should help more than anything. The pink primary is very similar to the stock on a p700 so the improvement should be minor.
Maybe I should come down there and we can do some drags while swapping out the primarys between the stock, pink and maroon??
I've never been able to easily wheelie my p700 either but I know the 27" tires and all the gear I carry are affecting that. Plue the altitude we are at...

my p700 has just the spring kit im not sure what colour they are but it revs to about 2000 rpm befor it moves and then it jumps.
i can wheely mine in hi or low without any trouble.
mine came set up the way it is.
the guy told me the spring he put in it was for heavy towing and slow going with a heavy load so the clutches wouldent burn the belt up.
i diden ask what the name was or what colour it was but it sure makes the thing snappy off the line i can blip the throttle at about 25mph and pull the wheels like i was sitting still.
and mine has 28" mudzillas on it.
i think it would be nuts with the stock tires or another tire not as big as mine.

Unfortunately I have to buy a new CDI (or a DG3 or DG5?) as Dynatek made one CDI for the '02 P650 and a different CDI for later Prairies and the BF.
DG3 or DG5? Which one? Does it void the warranty?
Sounds like a CDI (or DG5?), EPI black secondary spring and Dalton orange/blue primary spring is the way to go?
Pls reply.

Pls comment on the above questions regarding if that is the way to go. Otherwise will go that way.
Love my new (and last) bike and want a kickass trail bike so I won't be embarrassed by the young guys, but mostly for the sheer fun of kawi power on the trails.

i just had my cover off to inspect the belt and the spring on the front, if its the one im looking at is orange.
i think thats the one.
its in the middle of the clutch pack.
i couldent see the one on the back.
so im still not sure what it is.
