2up riding with BF750
#1
Hey guys,
I'm in the market for an atv this spring, have been debating between the p700 and the BF750! I would rather go for the 750 for the IRS but lots of my trail riding will be done with a passenger on a proper 2up box or seat. Can anybody shed light on how the bike but more specificaly the suspension responds to the added weight of a adult passenger on the back of the machine... Thanks alot

I have not tried this yet but as much power as this thing has it would be very unwise to do so IMO. With the extra weight/traction of a box as well as a person you would easily flip it backwards on take off or up hill. my .02

techincally there is no such thing as a "proper 2up box or seat." The reason why i say this is that the frame was not built for it. The two ups that you see on the market, the frames have been modified to support the extra weight and it is made so it wont flip backwards. This may not have been what you are looking for, but if you are in the market for a two up, i would suggest looking at BRP for their two ups

I've had my wife and my father on the back of my Twin Peaks (Prarie 700 is disguise). I hardly notice they are back there. The seat is so big that my wife doesn't even sit on the rack. I'm 6', so I'm not really a little guy. It is way more stable with 2 on than on my Bomb. I have no experience with an IRS but do like the Prarie. Also look at that BF650 and save yourself some money if you decide to go the SRA route. Both are great machines also. You'll have more power than you'll will know what to do with.

ALL4 You should look into the bomber Outlander 400 2 up or wait and get the 800 outlander 2 up I hear they are coming out with , my buddy has the 400 and I was very impressed when I saw it. I have the GRIZ and I cant imagine the BF riding double even as good as the griz ,and it is no good either .If you are gonna ride double you should buy a 2 up, or you will find yourself in a bad situation sooner than you think. I am prepping the wife know for the 800 2 up Outlander.

UHHHHH!!!!! NOOOOO... I couldn't stand the thought of buying a 2 up. I've tried the outlander 400 and found it to be wayyyy underpowered I guess an 800 would wake it up, but I'm not overly excited about the looks of the BRP. I haven't really looked at the Artic Cats, but they don't really tickle my fancy. When I first started the hunt for an ATV, I was mostly looking at the Yamaha or Honda. After giving Kawi a look, I have been taken away by their overall engineering and specialy the engine and driveline design and it's track record. I set out to get an IRS for it's smoothness and still hope to go that route. The 2up riding is for the girlfriend, she plans on coming often, but who know how long that will last, and I would hate to be stuck with a full 2 up machine all the time.

Hello ALL4ATV. I got to go with MnFriesen on this one. The BRP (LOL Bombardier recreational Products) or the Artic Cats make two-ups. I don't know what state you live in, but in Michigan, you cannot legally ride the trails with two people on one quad unless you have a two up machine. Why don't you just get two quads? If you get the right quad for her, she might like it.
