Default ATR's on b.f. ,how much performance loss?

I love to race and don't want to loose much power. Are the atr tires alot heaver than stock? Will you hook up better on grass and gravel? I also go in mud but can switch tires to my mud lights.

I have never used them, but they are next on my list of mods. From what I hear about them, your question should be....How much performance is Gained.

Can't answer for the brute.... but when i put my atr's on my 03 650, i noticed a big difference.... less flats, less tire roll, they hook up great in all types of terrain....mud, snow, rocks, dirt, gotta be carefull with the grass though cuz you might up set the wife. (Mine threatened me with my life if i didn't stop tearing up the lawn. LOL) Weight is not much heavier than stock i belive 2-3 lbs. (Not a noticable difference)

2 or 3 lbs. wouldn't be bad but then I may want to use nice rims and then am getting heavy. Do you hook up much better on gravel and pavement? Any loose in top end? Thanks for any in put.

Default ATR's on b.f. ,how much performance loss?

Here are some numbers for reference.....
Stock rear wheel/tire combo is 26lb.
stock front combo is 19.5lb
Atr front on type 5 wheel is 27.5
Atr rear on type 5 is 30.5
mudlight 26x12x12 TIRE ONLY is 28.5.
So stock wheels and tires are going to be faster on pavement in a drag race hands down. If you race anywhere but pavement the ATRs will help you out just by the added traction. Not to mention added safety of having a better handling tire that doesnt roll in corners as bad. These were weighed on my digital scale. By memory my 26x10x12 front mudlite with the type 5 was 38lbs. I cant speak for top end because I had cams, headwork, exhaust, machined clutch, and jet kit all done at the same time I got the ATRs. (so I didnt loose any top end) Hope this helps.

I do not see them slowing you down weight wise.
On grass you are going to wheelie easier. In the turns be careful, they hook up so much better than the OE's you may not slide when you want to and launch into a tree or bank. It takes more throttle to break them loose in the turns compared to the OE's. I found this out right away and bent my grill on a tree.
On gravel? Geesh, I don't know any tire better than the other on the marbles.
I love mine for what I do. I crawl the North GA mountains. Loose topsoil, pool ball rocks and leaves. The OE tires would accumulate leaves under the tires on steep leafy down hills and slide like they were greased. I don't know why but the ATRs' work much better there. Going up is much improved also.
Sloppy Deep Mud, I avoid it like the plague. If I don't have to go through it I won't.
One of the best things of a radial tire is how they do not bump or torque steer on roots or ruts. They just roll straight over them without pulling the bars out of you hands. Nice. I have forgotten what that feels like.
The only thing good about the OE Dunflops is the plush ride. The ATR's are a bit harder and HoleShot recommends 6 psi or more but I can't run them that high. I now run them @ 4-psi all the way around. For me @ 6'2" & 245 pounds, she steers good and rides smooth enough.
I forgot to mention they help steering MUCH over the OE's.

Thanks for the replys. I am always comparing the mudlights to stock. Seemed to be around 58 lbs. heaver with rims. top end is a little less and accelleration is quite a bit less but they are nice tires for traction. Am thinking about the atr's.I shouldn't lose nere as much as the m.l. The added take off may make up for it.
