HMF full sytem
#1
I just installed a HMF full system on my BF750. The recommended adjustments after changing out the jets that it came with was 2-1/2 turns out. After test riding, it was backfiring after I let off of full throttle. So after adjusting more, I ended up at 3-1/2 turns out, with less backfiring, but it is still there. It's running good but still backfiring off full throttle, is this normal or do I need to adjust more?

Backfiring on decel is usually due to a lean condition or an exhaust leak. Popping noise may be experienced after letting off from full throttle, just curious, did HMF have a number for tech support and if so did you call them?

yes, the popping is more annoying than any thing else. Just make sure your engine is not running to lean as this is damaging. Smell the exhaust and you should be able to determine if it's too lean or too rich. Black inside the muffler will indicate too rich. Also try and check for exhaust leaks as they can cause the popping.
