ZQuad, assuming you have already replaced the front factory needle (Tech bullitine on BF 750)

If its popping in airbox sounds lean. Backfiring from exhaust sounds rich or exhaust leak

Idle Mixture, Needle setting/height, and Main Jets have to work in unison and be set for your particular bike/mods & your carbs need to be Syncronized.
