I am in the process of rebuilding my '96 300 Bayou 4x4 engine and was wondering if the piston should be even with the top of the cylinder or not. Mine stops about 1/16 of an inch from the top. The rod does not appear bent and the bearing is still tight on the crank as well as the wrist pin. Anyones insight would be appreciated.
