Dyna CDI, anyone having a problem in 2005
Well I spoke to soon, 2.9 miles on the new CDI and BAM running on one cylinder again. Put the old one in and its fine, put the dyna in again and one cylinder. This stinks as the fist time it failed out of the box so I did not get the feel for the incredible power increase, now I want a new one more than ever. I have never heard of such a high failure rate on an ignition product.

I was having touble at high RPM's so I slipped my stock one in, same problem. I changed my plugs and drained my gas and put in new gas, and everythings been good since. I've had my replacement CDI back for 10 months and it runs great

My dyna cdi works fine. There is another cdi coming out in july that is fully tuneable. NYCRO's forum has a more information.

Wow it's tough to read about all these problems, that must be really frustrating. I somehow managed to lose my stock cdi, so I guess it's a good thing my Dyna has been totally reliable! I was on the very first order sent out when the cdi's came out for 650's, which had the slight kickback problem. I sent it back and got a replacement from scott at dyna, and have since logged 1200 miles on the unit with nothing but lots of zip.. Crossing fingers for the future but it looks like those that have had problems have had them right off the bat.
