BF low end miss???
#1
This issue has been known since they have been out, so why is it that the new ones still have it. Kawi sends the fix to dealers to put in for free, but why not fix it before there sent out. I keep seeing people get new BF's and complain about the miss. Then people tell them to bring to dealer and they will fix it. Why is Kawi making people do this? Why don't they just fix it so the buyer doesn't have to run around and have it done? Makes no sense.

I just picked up a camo 750I yesterday. It also has the low end miss just a tad above idle. I have not had much time to ride it, but so far I love the low rumble of the V-twin. I will definitely have the low end miss fixed by the dealer after I get my 10 hours on it next weekend.

if these brutes arnt fixed at the factory you at least would think the dealer would prep it correctly and change the needle before hand. am i asking too much by asking a dealer to do this? i would imagine the very latest brutes would have the correct needle. these brute may still be hold overs from the originals. maybe i'm wrong.

If I had to guess, Kawasaki probably buys parts in bulk, and it would cost them more to send the front carbs back and order new ones as it would to just use what they have on hand. I expect the 06' will probably be fitted with the proper needle.

It's a bummer that you take the machine home and then either do it yourself our load it back up into the truck, drop it off and wait while the shop does it for you. Kawasaki is probably just running through stock that has already been built.

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum. I just recently bought a Burte and don't yet have the 10 hrs on it. It too had the miss so I had to take it back (40 miles one way!) They did it while I waited which was pretty good I thought, but still they knew about it before hand, so I kinda agree, they should have done the job before it left the shop. Anyway, I asked them if it needed any other adjustments and they said no, just the new needle. But now it's missing again. Wonder if they should have messed with the air screws on the carbs to at least try to get it to optimal? Anyone know if I can "fine tune" it some, and how to do it?
Thanks!
Thanks!
