If you have the kfx700, there is no of switch on it. It is more of a "always on" than an "off". I have never worried about mine and it is fine. Never had any problems. Although I try to run the engine every month during the winter.

Default quick question on the kfx

My son just bought a KFX400 too, and I asked him about that fuel switch set-up. If I remember right, he said the PRI was to be used when you need to prime the thing for whatever reason. I'll ask him again though. He's also going to run AMSOIL but I'm not sure of what the specifics are (He's actually already got the stuff bought, just hasn't changed it yet). But I'll ask him what he learned about AMSOIL and what vis it is etc. He's in college, so he's not here for me to ask just now. I'll e-mail him though just in case he has any thoughts.

I would run 10w40,20w40,or 20w50 the V runs a little on the hot side. The fuel valve is left to the on mark, there is a electric fuel pump so you do not have to turn it off.You could also get a Pink spring to get all you can ,out of the stock V.

Yea, prime basically bipasses the vacuum operated fuel petcock. Lets the gas run straight though without the motor runnin. Only use it when it has been sitting awhile with no gas in the carbs.
