I was wondering how much it would kill my acceleration to put a 13 or 14 tooth sprocket up front? How much more top end would i get with a 13 tooth?14 tooth? Would i ahve to buy a bigger chain? Thanks

when i put my 13 tooth on when i had a stock engine and no pipe i couldnt even notice a diffirence but you probally will notice a small diffirence with bottom end with the 14. The 13 tooth will add 2 mph to your top end and the14 will probally give you 4 or 5 more mph. With the 13 you wont need a newchain but with the 14 you will need a 92 length. Could you fit a gas can in your armidillo six pack rack and is it light, im thinkin of buying one?

Y ai wanted to go to a 14 tooth with a supertrapp exhaust, kand n jet kit, and a uni airfilter and hoped to get 60 out of it but I dont want to buy a new chain.I will ask greg about it over at kawieriders though too. The six pack rack is heavier then the stock grab bar ans i never tried but it looks like u could get a little one gallon can in it. I will ask greg about it over at kawieriders though too.

i was talking to greg over the phone yesterday about some things and i have been looking at the fmf titanium 4 exhaust for my lakota. Greg said that thats a very good pipe and would produce alot more power than the supertrapp or the dg but they dont make a mid pipe for the lakota or mojave so greg said that he could make one for me when i buy they titanium 4. fmf claims that it makes 20% more hp and the blue anodized version looks very nice and the scilincer is a very good price at 179. It should work well for me because i already have the dg headder so when i get the fmf it will be like a full system.

I was wondering u got a .420 cam in your lakota. Did you put that in yourself and can u just put that in a completely stock motor? or one with a pipe, jet kit, and a aftermarket air filter? If so do you have to buy a different cam chain or have to jet different for it? Thanks

And about buying a new chain for the 14 tooth sprocket I thought you could just loosen the chain to fit it? But I guess I was wrong

My engine is at cwr (gregs place) right now. He put in hd valve springs, oversized valves, a new cam chain, a hi comp piston, the .420 cam and rebuilt the crank shaft. He just finished up with it and i shouldhave the engine back at my house by tuseday so i had it all put in at once. you would still probally gain quite a bit of performance with just the cam on a stock engine and you wouldnt need to replace your cam chain if its still good but overall a pipe and jetting will give you a noticable increase in power too. I just jetted my quad to the specs it recomends for a piped quad and greg said it would be fine. Unless your chain is really, really streched it would bevery hard to get a 90 link chain to fit and you would deffinatly have to get the 92 link. Go to rocky mountain and by a chain made by primary drive, its black on the sides and has gold pins and rollers. it seems to be a great chan cuz it has 8,510 lbs tensile strength which is very strong(the highest ive ever seen) and it also looks cool because itsgold and black but best of all its only 22 bucks.
