walker 360 is right, when i went riding with the foreman 450, i would rather ride my 360. The 450 was rough, not very comportable and couldnt go as many places as my 360. It had bad suspension flex which helped my 360 just roll through the technical places. I still love the 450, dont get me wrong but my 360 had a better rough terrain manner.

Hey aduke, if you are going to spend up to 5500 then i suggest you go the rest of the way and get the 650, you will not be disapointed. I just bought a 2002 650 with 2700 klm for $5500 in December. For the extra power and ride you might as well, I was considering a 400 when looking but I am sure I would not have been happy and would have had to make another move down the road to a 650 any way so I figured I might as well do it all in one move. Have fun shopping.

Sounds like the same dealership that I was at the other day. If it is on the north side next to the pricess margaret bridge it is. Those guys are out to make a buck, you really have to work on them to get them down. I was in there pricing a 650 for fater inlaw on PEI and they stated out at $7900 for a 2003 with 2800klm, told him good luck I can get a new Brute 650 for 8200, and went to walk out when he dropped $1000 dollars before I got out the door, and then went onto say he could do better than that if I was still interested. That's what makes me PO. People like that try to take advantage of anyone who is too shy or unwilling to deal, you have to act like you are not really intersted and know what the machine is worth before you ask the price to be able to rebutle his price. Good Luck, never take the first price.

Keep in mind there is a throttle limiter on the 650, all you do is turn a screw behind the throttle and half or less the power for younger riders.

I bought 2 of the 05 360's in January, both with winches and they have been outstanding. I bought one for my brother to ride. We have about 1000 acres leased to hunt on and these wheelers have done everything from creating new trails to broadcasting seed out for food plots. They have been an all around great 4 wheeler. My brother did have to get his 4wd engagment looked at, he got stuck in a bad bog and was pretty rough with the controls. I have had no problems with the one I ride and I have tested it on man occassions. IMHO you can't beat it for the money.

If the machine has any miles on it, bite the bullet and take it to the dealer for a clutch tune-up and service. If clutch components get worn and sloppy, the primary clutch will beat itself to death. This has been much more of a problem on the 360's, not much of a problem on the V-twins. Might be vibration related.
