Yeah, small world eh. Just got my quad on monday (14th). Freakin unbelievable to torque the vtwin puts out.

haha man i orderd my quad like over a month ago with a dyna tech cdi, fmf slip on exhaust, ITP c-series (4,5,6=it didnt matter), 27" GBC gators, and out of this all I got was the quad. I felt so cheezed. Waiting on everything to get in still.

Mudlite XTR (right from website)

Apparently Sizing: 14x7 (12x7 available mid-2005).
All-new, lightweight six-window design, building on all the advantages that have made our previous C-Series wheels famous.
Innovative 14-inch diameter results in a lower tire sidewall, providing a whole new level of handling and performance due to reduced sidewall flex.
Features a bright machined finish and Gunmetal Gray accents with a tough clear coat for long-lasting good looks.

The Outlaw M(ud)S(now)T(rail) does look exactly like what I'm looking for. Has anyone used these? The tread looks alot like the tread on the Goodyear Mudrunners.

I'd love to try the Mudlite XTRs, but I don't want to go to a 27" tire, plus they're over $800 for the kit, too rich for my blood right now.

Thanks again!

i have 300 miles on 27" mudlites, trail riding, mud, rocks, snow, plowing and they look brand new. those new mudlites, if you get the size they have now you gotta use their rims, am i right? and if you get those rims you will be limited in tires choices as well, right?

Grizzkiller,

I assume you're running the Mudlite XLs? I would assume those would help with the wear problems I've heard about since they have a deeper lug. Do you ride on any gravel roads? I still think that the Mudlites are hard to beat for the price.

yes they are the deeper lug, and we ride alot of gravel roads, or coal roads in Penn. hardpack and pretty rough on tires, kinda like cinders.

Like I said "...sizing: 14x7 (12x7 available mid-2005). "

Thus, when the 12x7's are available, you can put whatever tire you want on there, whether it be ITP, GBC, Maxxis, or some other brand.

I just put a the Big Horns on my Bruit and their a great radial. Ride is still good if not better then stock but they do great in snow and mud. We just got about 8 inc. of snow over the weekend and the Bruit did great in the snow. Hope that helps.

i have 3000 klm on my mud lites and the groove in the middle of the tread is gone .
so they do ware down fairly fast.
i put 2700 miles on my gators and they still looked great.
there was a bit of ware but not like the lites.
my buddy has mud bugs on his 600 grizz and he says he put them on when the quad was almost new.
he now has over 5000 miles on them and there is still lots of tread left on them.
when they were new the depth was 1 1/4" it now there just short of an inch.
so they dont wear down as fast as the mud lites.
mud bugs work good on all terrane the mud lites suck a$$ in the snow but are a good trail tire.
the next set of tires i buy will be the mud bugs or the mud zillas.
my zillas make my lites and gators look sick on any terrane.
of the three sets of tires ive had i like the mud zillas the best.

hey everyone...just joined today...and i just got a BF last weekend...i was lookin at tires myself...wondering if i should run 27' or 28' Gators? i plan on gettin some type of wheel not really sure yet. I want to run 28's but in not sure if there is room for them. My buddy runs them on his Prairie with a 1" lift. So im hoping they will fit mine at the stock height. What r your thoughts???
