BF750 Tires
#1
First, I want to say that I have spent the last month doing searches and absorbing all the info I can from this site, Awesome site!!
Anyway, I am somewhat of a newbie to ATVing, I have friends that have been doing it for years and finally decided to join them. I purchased a Brute Force 750 and the first upgrade I want to do is get better tires. I think that all of the searching I've done has just made me more confused as to what to get. I do all of my riding in the mountains of Colorado, so I think a need a good trail tire, but I will encounter a fair amount of mud and snow. I was set on the 26" ITP Mudlites, but have read that they wear very fast. I also looked at Mudrunners, but I could almost get 2 sets of Mudlites or the new Mudlite XTRs for the same price. How are the Maxxis Bighorns in Mud and Snow? What about Wetlands? I don't plan on going out looking for mudpits, so I don't want a real aggressive mud tire, but it's inevitable here in the spring to mid summer that I will see mud and snow, and I really don't want to get stuck alot.
I really appreciate any advice I can get on this!!

i would go with the mud bugs also if you dont want an aggressive mud tire.
the mud bugs are a sweet tire.
also the gators anr a good tire they look almost the same as the bugs but the rubber is stronger so they wont ware as fast.
bugs or gators you cant loose.

Do to some bad timing and wrong deliverys, my tire situation has changed.
I currently have stock rims and tires.
I'm gettin 27 inch gators to replace the stock tires, which will tide me over untill canada finally gets the ITP Mud Lite XTR (tire/rim combo) that i have on order.
The gators really look like they will chew hard, and really, what else can one ask for
The ITP 589s work great also.
The options are out there.

It seems like 589s, Mudbugs, and Mudlites are what everyone thinks is best.
I like the 589s, but had heard they were too aggressive unless you did a lot of mudding, how are they for normal trail riding? If they do well on trails without alot of mud I will probably lean in that direction.
On the Mudbugs and Mudlites, how are they wearing for you guys? The Mudlites were my first choice until I heard the wear out so fast.
I hadn't seen the Outlaw MSTs, I'll check them out.
Thanks for all the great replys!!

I personally find the 589's to be a great all around tire, but I rarely spend a lot of time on smooth hardpack. What time I have been on very smooth stuff, ie pavement, I found they were quite rough at lower speeds but got smoother as the speed increased. I like the handling with them on as well. For general trail use they are not noticably rough at all. They also seem to wear quite well, but again, not a lot of time on hardpack.
Another tire worth looking at is the new Mudlite XTR radial, may still be limited in size tho, as they are pretty new.
