Gear shifting

I have a bayou 399 4X4 and to get the bike to shift into 1st... I have to tap the gas while shifting to get the bike to engage into 1st... same thing with reverse...

All other gears fine. What could be the problem?

Gear shifting

Idle speed not set best. Adjust up/down a tad to where it shifts the best/easier. Second option is adjust shift linkage In accordance with shop manual[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
