I have tried searching and can't really find what i need. I was wondering if there are any special tools need to change the primary and secondary spring. The spring combo i am considering is dalton blue and epi black. If you have any other spring suggestions please let me know.

Changing the Primary spring is easy... requires no "special tools"... just be carefull with the torque on the belt cover bolts, & the ones on the metal primary cover...( their torque specs are in inch pounds, not foot pounds )... I open mine enough that I don'
t use a torque wrench, but only use a 1/4" drive ratchet, to assist with not over tightening them... lots of people have snapped them off...
Changing the Secondary spring does require a spring compressor, & a snap ring plyer... I suggest looking over NYROC's tech tips, or KISSOFDEATH's web site, a repair manual, etc. for directions, befiore attempting the rear spring... once in there, it's also a good time to check / reset the belt deflection...

Visit your Hardware store. Go to the plumming section and find you a 3" Floor plate that a 1/2" diameter pipe screws into. Get you Four 2 1/2 or 3" Bolts to fit the 4 holes in the floorplate and secure the bolts to florplate with a nut on each side. Also find you a straight nipple that fits in the center of the floorplate and drill it out to 1/2 inch. Get you a 1-2 foot section of threaded 1/2 in bolt stock, 3 nuts to fit stock, and a few(4) 2 inch flat washers.
You got your Secondary Tool for less than $10. Screw 2 nuts together half way down stock so nuts will not turn. Place stock in vise & tighten on the nuts, add 2 flat washers on top of stock, Add Secondary, Add floor plate tool on top of secondary spring, add 2 flatwashers, add nut.
Center 4 bolt heads on floor plate on edge of secondary & Tighten down to depress secondary spring. once depressed so you can see groove of secondary snap ring, remove snapring with snap ring pliers, and release tension on secondary to remove spring. Remember to place snap riing in retaininer ring before putting floor plate tool on and tightening down during the re-assembly.
