Hey guys ive got a 04 300ex and iwas wondering if my friends lakota would beat me i ask this question in the honda forum but didnt really help me so if you could i would apprecitate it.

Don't know how the new lakotas are, but I bought one brand new when they first came out in 1995 and it did pretty good against the 300ex. Several of my friends had 300ex's and I could beat them by about a quad lenght in a staight run if they were stock. If they had exaust they could pull ahead about two or three quad length. On a track we would have fun, but if they got in front, thats where they stayed. They would pull away mainly do to wheight, because I had all the racks and lakota was just a little heavier. They could get a little more distance on the jumps. Don't know if this still holds true, but thought I would share my experience with ya.

 

My lakota's sick got tons of power, my friend just go a 300ex almost stock except for nerfs and stuff, well i think i can take him but were riding next weekend so ill race him and then have an answer for you. Im almost sure i can beat him!

 

Well i had a lakota sport two years ago riding with two of my friends on stock 300ex's.My lakota had an exhaust,not rejetted or anything.In a drag my lakota lost by about 1-2 quad lengths everytime,but top end speed my lakota was about 1-2mph faster,there 300ex's might not of been tuned up well.So a stock lakota will probably be a bit slower all around to a 300ex,but not much.
