Default Is equal length head pipe best?

I was wondering if the longer pipe on the close side to silencer woud loose power because of traveling further. I was thinking about muzzy exhaust on 750 brute force. They say the tuned pipe is best. Haven't heard of many trying it. What s your thoughts on this?

The tuned pipe should overall be the best in my opinion. On small block chevy's and such, tuned headers or equal length headers always perform better because each cylinder has roughly the same amount of back pressure. On these V-twins however, it probably doesnt matter nearly as much because the exhaust remains seperated until it reaches the scavenging point (the muffler) in a 2-into-1 system this should compact and create about the same amount of back pressure for each cylinder for the most part. That is my understanding at least. Unless you are looking for every little bit of power and money is no option, i wouldnt worry too much about it.
