Default vforce dragging?

How is the vforce in straight line performance compared to rappys, ds, 450's and such? Also what kind of big bores and such parts are available and how do they perform?
thanks

Out at Glamis, few machines are stock. With my mods, here's how I rank:

YFX 450: I lose every time.

Raptor: I usually win, but some people put a lot of money into their Raptors, making them untouchable by a V. A turbo Raptor recently won 4-stroke wars at Glamis.

Predator: I win every time, even against piped & jetted Predators, but a stock V will lose. After my mods, the HPD plain spring seemed to be the deciding factor against the Predator.

DS650: Pick your race wisely against this machine. A standing start on a really steep dune (like China Wall) favors the V, but with a running start, or a flat course, the V will lose.

so the vforce isnt that much slower? i bet its a torque monster. if you put smaller tires would you be faster? 24's seem awfully big.

i race my kfx700 on dirt 300 ft and my friend had a YFZ with a cam mod and slip on muzzy pipe and me and him were bout dead nuts most time.. it was mostly reaction time that won the race even thou my drag time had bout .005 fast time i have been beat by some faster more modded YFZs and i raced 2 diff ds650s and one me and him had the same drag time and he has same work as me maby more and the other was modded like crazy and had alot of weight removed but that one beat me ... i cant wait to drag my friend on his trx450r wid a Dr. D slip on, cam, and filter... the drags i have said above, i had less things done to my quad.. i have done more lil things and have tuned it better even thou its still nor quite perfect.. oh well ..

I was at the dunes this weekend and this is how it went. With the mods I have, I run neck and neck with piped YFZ450's and 450R's. I beat most piped Raptor's, Banshee's, DS650's and Predator's.

With comparable mods, the V will hold it's own. However, with highly modified versions of these other quads, you will have troubles.

The KFX700's list of mods is growing every day. There are 800cc and I believe FST even has a 900cc Big Bore Kits for the V. There are Clutch Mods, Cams, CDI's, NOS and new Carb setups. You will be seeing extended swingarms in the near future also. There is a shop up in Canada that is building 100+ HP KFX700. So it depends on how much money you want to spend.

The V is pretty much like any other bike when drag racing. They are only limited by the money spent on modding them.

If you want to go forward and not dig holes, you need 24" straight paddles. The machine is just too heavy to be competitive with the smaller tires.

The Force holds its own against all the other atv's with some mods. In drag racing its great cause this machine is heavy. I actually sit more towards the rear of my quad so my tires don't break loose. Its got tons of torque. V-Twins are torque monsters. I've put dual exhaust, rejetted, and did a custom advance timing job to mine. I still got to buy the timing advance key. Next thing i want is a new clutch spring. I have dragged a 450R honda and beat him once. Drag racing always depends on your starts. I race other V-Forces that have dual exhaust and different mods than i have and we all swap 1st place wins. Depends on your starts again. I race one Force that was heavily modded and we again swapped 1st places. These machines should not be underestimated. They are fast and can be a lot faster. The aftermarket has a lot out there for the Force now. There are soo many little things you can do to the V to get just a little bit of hp out of them. I beat a 250R honda atv once but after that come within a atv length of beating him. Its such a great atv to ride too. Its easy to ride and there isn't any other atv out there like it. Its unique and looks soo cool.
