04 vs 05 Vforce
I have a 03 Zuki Vinson and am thinking of getting a vforce. I wanted a "sporty" quad with auto and the v is really the only choice, besides a polaris 500, but i wouldnt waste my money on a polaris(no offense to any "po" owners). Im in san antonio and went to local dealers around here and they wanted on average of $7000 OTD. Im originally from southeast texas, and while there a couple weeks ago, i went over to louisiana , the dealer i went to said $5900 even OTD, i told him ide be back my next time in town. so now im just waiting to go on a trip "home" to jet over and pic one up. I keep my zuki there in east texas at my brothers house and go there to ride about once a month. I would though , just for info, like to know the average top speed of a vforce, not one that has all kinda mods, im talkin pure stock. Also in drag racing with STOCK 450 honda or yamis, how does it fare? Im going to get one no matter what, just for the conveniance of the auto, but want to know how it compares to the others in performance.

Ya my dealer was saying the top speed of a V is over 70. I have an old Dirtwheels issue where they did a comparison between the v, a raptor, and a ds650 and the Raptor was the fastest of the 3, with the DS being second fastest and the V coming in last. No surprise there, the extra 115 pounds the v has over the raptor will definately make it a little slower but still 70 Mph is pretty fast for a stock quad.

Yea, I dont care much how it compares to the others, just trying to get an idea of its performance as ive ridden the yami and honda 450's. I havnt ridden a vforce yet. I didnt want a "full" race bike like the 450's so i had looked at the z400, reverse, electric start, good ride. But still ive got to where i want a bike thats just "easy" to ride, like my auto vinson. So i decided on the auto vforce. thanks for the info.

yeah you also have to think about maintenance with the quads too. the thing i like about the vforce is the shaft drive and rear brake(which because it is sealed is covered by the warrenty). I used to own a bike that required a lot of maintenance and it just isn't fun to have to work on your bike when you would rather be riding.

I believe the 05 has a throttle position sensor in the carb. That's the only difference. Oh yeah, they also nixed the "V-Force" name. I know what you're saying about California prices. I got a "good" deal for an 04 last year at $6,749 OTD. If you can get an 04 for $6400, then jump on it.
