a KFX400 is a great quad..they have a lot to offer and are great for trail riding. Also you can put a ton of aftermarket parts on it to make it ready for the track...stock they top out at 70+ and are very reliable quads...like everyone said theyare the me as the Z but different colors and brands...it has great suspension, power, and are light weight...overall theres nothing really bad to say about them just all great stuff...youll love it if you get it...and wont ever want to get off it...

They are excellent all around sport quads. A friend of mine bought one a couple of months ago and it is a great quad. You will not be the fastest or slowest but you can ride the wheels off of it and with regular mantinence not have any trouble. With the exception of trail/woods riding it dosen't do anything the best but it does everything VERY well. One word describes it best SOLID.

If you do your research, you'll see that the Suzuki Z400, Kawi KFX400 and Arctic Cat DVX400 are all identical machines, just different colors. Two exceptions are that the 2005 Arctic Cat has removable fenders but the downside is that the Cat also did not receive the upgrades for '05 that both the Suzuki and Kawi got.

I've been researching purchasing my first quad on the internet and also have visited some dealers. As of right now I am definitely going to be picking up a KFX400. Supposed to be a fantastic all around quad. It doesn't matter to me whether it's Suzuki or Kawi - I just want one in green.

I just bought a Blazing Orange KFX 400 a month ago and I love it. I would suggest going with the '05... there is a suspension upgrade from the '04 and the price is not that much more. List price (although I didn't pay list) for the '05 was $100 more than the '04 but the '05 has much better suspension. There are tons of aftermarket products out there for the machine as well. A friend of mine has a Raptor 660 and it shocked me to hear the praise he gave my machine after riding it. I do not htink you will be disapointed with the KFX 400.
